ISLAMABAD- after the meeting of the
National Security Committee of the Parliament, the Army Chief in response to
the question of journalists said that you should ask the government to give
bases to the United States, then he said you will not give bases. ۔ The National
Security Committee of the Parliament held an 8-hour long meeting in which the
DG ISI gave a briefing on the US withdrawal from Afghanistan and the situation
and the Army Chief answered the questions of the MPs.
Only the Afghan issue could be discussed in
the meeting, Kashmir and the internal situation of the country could not be
briefed due to which the issue will be re-session. According to sources,
military officials said in the briefing that we are completely neutral on the
Afghan issue. We want to stay, we don't want to go to any one group in
Afghanistan, whatever the Afghan people choose, we don't want to go there, now
there may be a civil war in Afghanistan, let the parliament decide what we have
to do.
