BARCELONA -
The Afghan community in Barcelona staged a protest yesterday with the full
participation of Afghan, Pakistani and elected representatives from Barcelona
and Catalonia. Reminded to play their role in solidarity.
Sahibzada
Ali Khan, head of the Afghan organization, called on the government to
immediately relocate the families of those living in Spain. Afghan activist
Shola Bahadur lamented the plight of women and called the Spanish government's
actions insufficient. Marina Morante, a spokeswoman for the popular anti-racism
organization Unit Tat Contra Racism e Fascism, said the government should open
its doors to Afghan refugees, a humanitarian demand that full support be given
to Afghan refugees. President Javed Ilyas Qureshi, Muhammad Munir Khokhar,
Hanzala Bilal Dhinda, Asjad Chichi, Sulaiman Shahbaz Machhiana participated.
In Barcelona, a brave Pakistani
father and son resisted an armed robber and forced him to flee.

The recent bravery of a Pakistani father and son was shown in the nearby town
of Ruby, both of which foiled a robbery attempt at a PCO and a money transfer
shop.
According to
the details, a young man armed with a pistol broke into a shop and showed the
pistol and demanded money from the father and son. He escaped unscathed, both
father and son chased the thief to the door but did not dare to look back at
the fleeing thief and he ran away.
