Emma Radukano: 18-year-old British player wins US Open.

At the point when Radukano showed up in the United States, he had booked his return tickets solely after the passing round. The reason was that they had no hope of qualifying for the finals of the tournament.

Then they started winning one match after another without losing a seat and did what they probably never even thought about. He won three matches in the qualifying stage and seven in the final stage to clinch the title.

Emma Radukano, 18, ended Britain's 44-year wait by defeating Canada's Laila Fernandez in the first two sets in the final of the US Open Grand Slam. Earlier, a British female tennis player had won a Grand Slam in 1977.

He is also the first 'qualifier' to win a Grand Slam match.

Emma Radukano defeated her 19-year-old rival Leila Fernandez 4-6, 3-6 in a thrilling match.

She completed her victory with an 'S' (a serve that didn't get the opponent to play) and lay down on the court with her in a state of uncertainty.

Radukano was encouraged by Virginia Wade, the last British woman to win a Grand Slam at Wimbledon in 1977.

Who are Radukano?

Emma Radukano was drawn for the first time in the WTA draw in June this year. She got a wild card entry in Wimbledon and reached the fourth round there.

She is the youngest British tennis player to win a Grand Slam and the youngest Grand Slam winner in the world after Maria Sharapova. Sharapova won Wimbledon in 2004 at 17 years of age.

She also became the first female player since Serena Williams to win a singles title in 2014 without losing a seat.

She won the prize money of 18 1.8 million and is now ranked 23rd in the women's world rankings, becoming the number one British tennis player in the list released on Monday.

Radukano was brought into the world on November 13, 2002, in Toronto, Canada, and moved to England with her folks when she was two years of age. His father's homeland is Romania, and his mother is of Chinese descent. His surname Radukano comes from Romania.

Congratulations to Radukano

Congratulations continue to flow to Radukano from around the world. Former British number one Laura Robson said on BBC Radio 5 Live: "There are many ifs and buts. Prior to Wimbledon, Emma Radicano was not in the main draw and was included in the wild card.

"Would they be here if they hadn't been updated?" Would it have been possible in case they had not gotten fourth round because of difficulty unwinding?

"But they did their best in their first Grand Slam final and you can expect more from them."

Former Wimbledon winner Pete Cash called it incredible. "I can't believe any qualifier wins the US Open," he said. Goran Evansiewicz won the Wimbledon with a wild card but has already reached the Wimbledon finals, it didn't feel like he was playing his second Grand Slam.

Praising her, Pete Cash added: "She hits the ball so neatly. It is beyond reason. There is no answer. His performance is amazing.
