ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed of Abu Dhabi and Emir of Qatar have agreed on a comprehensive political settlement in Afghanistan. On Sunday, Prime Minister Imran Khan and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman had a telephone conversation in which important issues, including the situation in Afghanistan and the region, were discussed.

Expressing good wishes for King Salman bin Abdulaziz, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that Pakistan wanted to further strengthen its long standing relations with Saudi Arabia. He also reiterated Pakistan's support for Saudi Arabia's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The Prime Minister said that a serene and stable Afghanistan is in light of a legitimate concern for Pakistan and the district. A comprehensive political settlement of Afghanistan is the best way to ensure the protection of the rights of the people here. The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Muhammad bin Zayed had a telephone conversation with Prime Minister Imran Khan.

During the meeting, the two leaders discussed issues of mutual interest as well as regional developments, especially the latest situation in Afghanistan. Reiterated the commitment of importance.
