appealed to Bill Gates to help the Afghan people. ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Imran Khan
has telephoned Microsoft founder Bill Gates. According to details, during the
telephone conversation, the two leaders discussed the reduction in polio cases
and other issues related to public health. Prime Minister Imran Khan briefed
Bill Gates on the anti-polio campaign in the country. The Prime Minister also
briefed Bill Gates on the steps taken by the government to address the Corona
Challenges. Bill Gates assured to
continue the program and cooperation for the eradication of polio. We will
continue the program for the eradication of polio to keep the children safe.
Bill Gates also appreciated the efforts of Prime Minister Imran Khan against
polio. The Prime Minister and Bill
Gates expressed concern over the health system in Afghanistan. Prime Minister
Imran Khan asked Bill Gates to provide humanitarian assistance to the Afghan
people.
Afghanistan is the second
country in the world to suffer from polio. The Prime Minister and Bill Gates
called for a resumption of the anti-polio campaign in Afghanistan. Imran Khan
said that more than half of Afghanistan's population was living below the
poverty line. Afghanistan is in dire need of financial assistance. Prime
Minister Imran Khan briefed Bill Gates on the efforts being made to eradicate
polio in Pakistan. He appreciated the cooperation of Bill and Melinda Gates in
eradicating polio. Imran Khan said that A case of polio has been reported in
Pakistan this year. The number of polio cases in Pakistan has come down
significantly. Efforts are being made to tackle polio. The government is
committed to eradicate polio in the country. |
