A statement issued by the Chinese Foreign Ministry said that the United States, which started the Afghan conflict, was not expected to leave Afghanistan alone and put a burden not only on the Kabul government but also on neighboring countries. China supports Afghanistan's becoming a free, neutral country and the implementation of Muslim policy here, and hopes that friendly relations with neighboring countries will be established by eliminating all forms of terrorism from Afghanistan.

The spokesman said China was ready to host inter-Afghan talks in its country at an appropriate time. All ethnic groups are part of the Afghan family and must show responsibility for peace.

He made it clear that China would continue its policy of non-interference in Afghanistan's internal affairs. China has always respected Afghanistan's independence, sovereignty and regional security.
