to change the shroud of the Kaaba, which was also attended by key bearers of
the Kaaba, organizers, Saudi officials and officials of the shroud-making

200 skilled
craftsmen removed the old shroud of the Kaaba and replaced it with a new one,
using 670 grams of raw silk, 120 kg of gold thread and 100 kg of silver thread.
The shroud of the Ka'bah is called Kiswah, which is changed every year on the occasion of Hajj. It consists of a total of 16 pieces, 50 feet long and 35 to 40 feet wide. It is manufactured by skilled craftsmen throughout the year in the Kiswah factory.
Surah Ikhlas is engraved on the 4 corners of the shroud of the Ka'bah. In addition, 16 strips containing different verses of the Qur'an have been attached to the shroud separately. The verses of the Holy Qur'an are inscribed in gold, silver and pure silk.

Saudi Arabia, there is a separate department for the manufacture of the shroud
of the Ka'bah and a special factory at the port of Umm al-Jawd, in which all
the necessary arrangements have been made for the manufacture of the shroud
according to the latest technology. He prepares a new shroud of Baitullah which
is made to adorn the Ka'bah on 9th Dhul-Hijjah with full pomp and splendor.
