BERLIN - Germany has allowed the management of 35 mosques in Cologne, including the country's largest mosque, to use loudspeakers for Friday prayers.

 

According to the International News Agency, negotiations between the Muslim community and the local administration in Cologne, Germany, have been successful, allowing all 35 mosques in the city to offer Friday prayers over a loudspeaker, including the country's largest mosque. Including

 

 The mayor of Cologne said in his tweet that my city is a mixture of different cultures and civilizations. Allowing the muezzin to call to prayer on a loudspeaker is a sign of respect for him. Permission to call to prayer on a loudspeaker has been granted for two years which can be renewed.
